ETTORE

Ettore was born in Milan in 1967 in a time when military service was mandatory. TESTIMONIALS

LAURA

"With Laura all things are possible. My firs impression of her was one of focus and determination. She has an infectious passion to create characters that speak to all demographics and her beauty and talent is juxtaposed with an exceptional sense of humor. She's a believer, a dream maker and a passionate soul with great depth. It is an honor to work with her as an actress and a producer." (Gabriella Rose-Carter, actress, director, permanent observer of the Actors Studio since 2013)

.

“Laura is one of those rare actresses who knows how to carry the theme of a text within herself, to let herself be crossed by it before returning it to the audience. There are two type of actors: those who serve the image of an idea and put their technique at the service of an illustration of it, and those who approach a theme as a living thing and live with and through it. The first leave a sense of admiration in the audience. The latter carries the witness to touch the theme on a personal level, to emotionally and thoughtfully experience it. Laura belongs to this second category”. (Fabrizio Visconti, Stage Director)

.

“She acts with an extraordinary power” (G. Bonafede, journalist)

.

“It was thrilling. You were wonderful in the part” (John Patrick Shanley, writer/director and Oscar and Pulitzer award winner)

ETTORE

“With Ettore I not only have experienced the charm of working on a character, but I also have been able to deepen many aspects of human being in general, even the most hidden ones. To understand a character, Ettore taught me to enter her bowels, even the darkest ones, so that I could really be truthful on stage. He is not a teacher who loves to swell up in front of others for his infinite literary, theatrical even artistic, philosophical and musical culture. He can open glimpses of an unexpected depth with simplicity and rigor. Of his classes certainly remain indelible readings of some songs analyzed and relived several times and his look that goes straight to cerrect you in oder to take you where the character is. (Veronica, visual artist and former student)

.

“An enormous talent I almost failed to recognize. That’s Ettore. I’m glad he blessed one of my projects with his heart and craft” (Stefano Moro, Film Director)

.

“The search of physical and material space and the movement of an actor are the basis of Ettore Distasio’s research in his classes. The actor generates what he wants to give life to when different world coexist, always beginning from the exploration of this shell of ours which, if driven properly, it manages to amplify and release its own universe in order to stage the universe of those who wrote the play. From here with Ettore's guidance the deep analysis of a script can be born and take shape, with him never satisfied with the most immediate meanings that we would give to the words of the playwright, as he is always looking for new ideas for analysis and interpretation.” (Francesco Nava, singer and former student)

.

“Working with Ettore I understood what they meant with “for Murinho football players would go to war”, because for me is the same. When I work with him I let myself go, I leave my comfort zone. I trust him.” (Randol, a former student actor)

.

Ettore is an intelligent actor who is able to immerse himself in a character calmly and with attention…as he defines himself, he is the holding player of the theatre” (Francesco Leschiera, theatre director)
